A mighty hand would guide him
To reveal a grand design
Until the right time would arrive
There would be not a sign

He killed to halt injustice
Had no choice but to flee
And journey to a new land
Though his people were not free

Summoned by the Lord
The voice he heard came from a flame
It must not be ignored

His task was more than daunting
But now his faith was clear
He looked into the Pharaoh’s eyes
With hope that he would hear

He led them out of Egypt
Across the parted sea
They wandered for the promised land
To face their destiny
